Doctrinal Statement

We Believe…

That the Bible is God’s inspired Holy Word, and that it is our source for our doctrine and practices.

2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13)

God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and Savior, and the Holy Spirit are three in One, known today as the Trinity.
(Genesis 1:1-2; Matthew 28:19; Matthew 3:16-17; John 4:24; 14:17; Genesis 1:26)

God the Father is the creator of all that we see and all that we do not see, the Father of Jesus Christ and all of mankind.
(Genesis 1:1; Matthew 5:45, 6:1, 6:8-9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; James 1:17; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)

Jesus the Son is the Savior and Lord of all mankind, and the head of the church
(John 1:1-5, 14:6; Matthew 1:22-23; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15-18; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:4-5; Ephesians 4:15)

The Holy Spirit is God’s gift to help Christians and convict the lost.
(John 14:16-17, 26, 16:12-15; Acts 2:38; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:25; 1 John 4:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

That we are saved by God’s grace and that there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation.
(Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23-24, 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7; John 1:12, 14:6; Galatians 3:26-27)

The way that we accept God’s gift of salvation, according to Scripture, is:

To Believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior and that He alone saves
(John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 11:6)

To Repent of our sins
(Luke 13:3,5; Luke 15:7; Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9)

To Confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord
(Matthew 10:32-33; Mark 8:38; 1 Timothy 6:12-13; 1 John 4:15; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 8:36-37)

To Be Immersed (baptized) to have our sins forgiven and to receive God’s gift of the Holy Spirit
(Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:5; Acts 2:38; Acts 16:33; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4-6; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21; Acts 22:16; Galatians 3:27; Ephesians 4:5)

To Continue to Walk with Jesus for the rest of our lives
(2 Peter 1:5-12; Matthew 24:13; Revelation 2:10, 26-27; Revelation 3:10, 21)

We are to remember Jesus by partaking of the Lord's Supper each Sunday, and welcome all Christians to join us.
(
Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30; John 6:53-58; Acts 2:42; Acts 20:7)

That we are to love one another, just as Jesus commanded.
(John 13:34-35; 1 Thessalonians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 John 4:7-12)

That marriage is from God and that His design is one man and one woman for life.
(Genesis 2:22-25; Mark 10:5-12; Hebrews 13:4 1 Corinthians 7:1-5; Leviticus 18:22; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

God created the heavens and the earth, as described in Genesis.
(Genesis 1-2, Mark 10:6; Deuteronomy 4:32; Job 26:10-14; Psalm 33:6-9; Isaiah 45:12, 18; Hebrews 11:3)
